Hi, I’m Geraldine Oosthuizen - the hands and heart behind Smelt. I’m a maker, a dreamer, and a big fan of all things calm and beautiful. I’m also a proud wife to a loving husband who supports me in everything I do - especially those late nights filled with resin pours, candle scents, and creative chaos.

Smelt began as a little creative escape from everyday life but quickly turned into something more — a space where I could share my love for handmade, minimalistic design. I’ve always been drawn to clean lines and the peaceful simplicity of minimal decor. After experimenting with resin art and candle-making, I discovered just how much joy handmade home decor can spark - both in the making and in the sharing.
